2002 Brigette Catherine Pinot noir
Our first Reserve vintage has aged gracefully, reflecting both quality fruit and careful craftsmanship. Luscious flavors of black currant, pear, and strawberry come from a block of Durant Vineyard's promising young vines at one of the property's highest elevations. The rich fruit flavors are balanced by notes of tobacco, licorice, and spices from Winter's Hll Vineyard. Durant and Winter's Hill are in the Dundee Hills AVA.
Grapes were carefully picked and then chilled to 40 degrees F, gently destemmed, and allowed to cold macerate for four days. With about 1% sugar remaining, they were lightly pressed and the wine transferred to French oak barrels (33% new) to finish fermentation. We allowed this wine to age 16 months in barrel before bottling. It was racked four times for clarity and stability. It is unfined and unfiltered.

Brigette Catherine Pinot noir Wine Information
Our Reserve wine and flagship Pinot noir, Brigette Catherine reflects the bold and dynamic personality of the woman for whom it is named. In honor of the special aunt Phil so fondly remembers from his childhood, Aaron has carefully crafted this wine to showcase its complexity and age-worthiness. Aaron has only produced this Reserve wine three times (2002, 2005, and 2012). Brigette Catherine... not your average auntie, and not your average Pinot!
